Iron Buddha was originally presented to the Emperor Qian Long and for a long time was only enjoyed by royalty. The leaves are dark like iron but the taste s light and ethereal. This premium version is called "Monkey Pick" - it was said that Buddhist Monks trained monkeys to gather the youngest leaves from the tips of the tea trees (Best before 18/06/2017).
Pu Erh originated from Yunan province and is made using a special fermentation process which yields powerful, earthy flavour tones, and little cherry or even forest berry hints.
